Scout's notes on Grand Turk

Short port days

The beach next to the cruise center and Governor's Beach just up the coast are the easiest options, and both have calm, clear water for swimming. Short snorkel trips leave from right near the pier.

Long port days

Boat trips to Gibbs Cay, a tiny island where wild stingrays swim up to visitors, are the classic excursion. Divers and snorkelers head for the Wall, where the reef drops off steeply just offshore. Horseback rides into the water and island tours of historic Cockburn Town are also popular.

Getting back on time

Distances are short on Grand Turk, so most trips leave plenty of margin. Boat trips depend on sea conditions, so check the tour's return time against your all-aboard time.
