Scout's notes on Miami

Before your cruise

City tours covering South Beach's Art Deco district, Little Havana, and Wynwood's murals are easy before boarding. Biscayne Bay boat cruises pass the waterfront mansions of Star Island and leave from Bayside Marketplace, close to the port.

After your cruise

Everglades airboat tours are the most popular post-cruise trip, and some include terminal pickup, luggage storage, and an airport drop-off. They're roughly 45 minutes to an hour from the port.

Timing tips

Miami traffic is heavy, especially on weekday afternoons and around the port on busy cruise days. Leave generous time to reach the terminal before check-in closes, and to get to the airport after a post-cruise tour.
